Home > RHEL > RHEL 8.x > Backup tools > Spectrum Protect Backup > Spectrum Protect Backup Archive restoration procedure
- Login to the webgui client <https://<ipaddress>:9081/bagui>
- Go to Retrieve tab
- Click on the latest backup
- Go to the location of file / folder to restore
- Select the file / folder and click the uparrow button
- File/Folder then added to the Retrieve List
File Restoration in same location:
- Click on the Retrieve tab
- File will be copied in the same location with file original name appended with present date.
- If retried the same file for multiple times, then 0001, 0002, 000N will be added to at the end of the file name.
- File original time stamp won't change after retrieve.
File Restoration in other location:
- Click on the Options tab
- Browse the other location
- Select the new location
- Click OK
- File will restore with the original name.
Folder Restoration in same location:
- Empty folder won't retrieve
- If folder retrieve in the same location, If folder already exists, then folder won't create, files inside the folder will create with file original name appended with present date.
Folder Restoration in Other location:
- Click on the Options tab
- Browse the other location
- Select the new location
- Click OK
- If folder retrieve in other location, folder and inside files will create with the file original name.
