Rocky 9.x Screenshots
Keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard Shortcuts (GNOME Desktop) for screenshots are as follows:
- Shift + PrtSc
- Capture a selected region and save it to ~/Pictures or ~/.
- Ctrl + PrtSc
- Copy the entire screen to the clipboard.
- Shift + Ctrl + PrtSc
- Copy a selected region to the clipboard.
- Alt + PrtSc
- Capture the active window and save to ~/Pictures or ~/.
- PrrSc
- Capture entire screen and save to ~/Pictures or ~/.
For clipboard pasting, use Ctrl+V in applications like GIMP or LibreOffice or kolourpaint.
Using the GNOME Screenshot Tool
The default tool offers additional flexibility:
- Open Activities > Search for Screenshot615.
- Choose between Whole Screen, Window, or Selection modes.
- Enable delay timers (useful for capturing menus)
Screenshots auto-save to ~/Pictures/Screenshots unless redirected
