Concurrency is handled via mpm module.  There are different types of mpm modules out of which only one can be used at a time.  We can see currently enabled mpm module via:
<pre>
httpd -V | grep -i mpm
</pre>

We can see which line is uncommented in '<tt>/etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/00-mpm.conf</tt>' to validate which mpm module is enabled.

To configure the enabled mpm module use something similar to below in '<tt>/etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/10-mpm-event.conf</tt>':

<IfModule mpm_event_module>
    ServerLimit             250
    StartServers             10
    MinSpareThreads          75
    MaxSpareThreads         250
    ThreadLimit              64
    ThreadsPerChild          32
    MaxClients             8000
    MaxRequestsPerChild   10000
