To configure LDAP authentication in GLPI use following steps:

  1. Login into glpi portal as glpi (admin user)
  2. Go to Setup -> Authentication -> LDAP Directories
  3. Choose option for adding new directory (Small plus sign on toolbar)
  4. Give identifiable name to server
  5. Change both 'Default Server' and 'Active' to yes
  6. Enter server hostname and choose port. If TLS is expected use appropriate port and then select yes for TLS through "Advanced Information" option on left.

  8. If authentication is required for connecting to LDAP for search, that is, anonymous bind is not allowed then enter rootDN and password appropriately.
