We can access virtual terminal on IVM managed hosts when there is older power server and no vHMC via:

  1. If logged in via root change to padmin user via (Or login as padmin directly) 
    su - padmin
  2. Get the lpars names and id's 
    lssyscfg -r lpar -F name,lpar_id
  3. Login to lpar using id 
    mkvt -id  <lpar-id>
  4. If terminal already opened, then kill that session and reopen 
    rmvt -id <lpar-id>
