It might be required to send outgoing emails to a particular domain (or all outgoing emails) via a SMTP Gateway / Smart host or Send connector. To configure the same (or view existing configuration) use:
- Login into exchange admin center via Web UI
- Go to "Mail Flow" -> "Send connectors"
- Here we can either create a new send connector with parameters such as:
- Name to identify connector
- IP address or FQDN of Smart Host (SMTP Gateway)
- Define authentication details for SMTP Gateway, if required
- Address space. This can be * for generic smart host for all domains
- Source server - Select one or more exchange servers that will be used to initiate connection to Smart host.
