Restoring DLO Backup Files/Folders from the DLO Admin Console

Steps

  1. Open DLO Admin Console
  2. Go to Restore
  3. Select the required User
  4. In the lower window, select the full backup or the specific files/folders to be restored
  5. Right-click → Restore

You will be prompted with two restore options:

  • Restore to original computer
  • Restore to alternate computer

VIP Profile Scenario

When a user is in the VIP profile, the system requires the user's password to proceed with the restoration.

If a user was originally in the VIP profile, but was later moved/migrated to a non-VIP profile, the backed-up data taken during the VIP profile period will not get restored while the user is in the non-VIP profile.

Resolution

To restore the data successfully:

  1. Move/migrate the user back to the VIP profile
  2. Perform the restore
  3. Once the restore is completed successfully, move/migrate the user again to the normal BOI profile

Important Note

  • While moving/migrating a user from non-VIP profile to VIP profile, the migration may sometimes fail when using the admin account.
  • In such cases, try performing the migration using a different domain admin user account.
