Could not find option to configure ntp client on VIOS

Configure Date and Time on VOIS

To configure date and time on VOIS use below steps:

1. Run below to get root shell

   oem_setup_env

2. Open the configuration manager

   smit

3. Go through following options to configure date and time
   1. Select "System Environments"
   2. Select "Change / Show Date and Time"
   3. Select "Change / Show Date & Time"
   4. Change required parameters
   5. Press "Enter" for save the changes
   6. Press "F3" for Cancel

Change the Time Zone

To change time zone on VIOS use following steps:

1. Run below to get root shell

   oem_setup_env

2. Open the configuration manager

   smit

3. Go through following options to configure time zone
   1. Select "System Environments"
   2. Select "Change / Show Date and Time"
   3. Select "Change Time Zone Using System Defined Values"
   4. Scroll down and select "Asia/Calcutta" (Or other appropriate time zone)
   5. Press "Enter" for save the changes

      (System needs to be reboot for taking the changes to effect)

   6. Press "F3" for Cancel
