Note that Google Adwords is for displaying our ads using google and pay to google for displaying our ads. Google AdSense is to let google display ads on our sites / videos and get money from google in case users see or click ads.

1. Create account on www.google.com/adsense It might take 1 or 2 days for account to be activated
2. After activation go to Ads -> Ad units and create a new "Ad unit". Copy the script code displayed at end for valuable parameters required later.
3. Use the script on site appropriately to display ads for correspoonding unit

Note:

• It makes sense to also have account on https://search.google.com/search-console/ (Previously http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools ) for your site to see on which search results people click to reach your site. This way more focus can be paid to create relevant content.
• It is also good to setup Awstats configuration for your site to see which URLs, which search queries, etc. are working better for your site and create content accordingly.
