Rocky 9.x Thunderbird solving corrupted global database issue

If you get following in error logs:

Corrupted Gloda Database: The database might be corrupted, causing indexing errors.

Then we can solve this by resetting Gloda database via:

  1. Close Thunderbird
  2. Navigate to your Thunderbird profile folder
  3. Delete the file named "global-messages-db.sqlite"
  4. Restart Thunderbird (it will rebuild the database)


Bulk migration of emails between accounts

During any bulk migration failures use:

  1. Repair folder
  2. Close thunderbird
  3. Dleete old global-messages-db.sqlite file
  4. Reopen thunderbird
  5. Again retry move of emails
