Tips for updating DNS records in GoDaddy

Useful tips while using GoDaddy DNS services

Use @ to point to domain or SOA for which DNS is being managed
In MX points to enter FQDN eg mail.example.com and not just mail as Godaddy appends (.) on entered name
Export Zone file in Unix format and validate manually that configuration is as desired. This helps in avoiding issues as explained for MX records above.
